Cucumber Celery Juice

If you thought you needed a fancy juicer to make your own celery juice, think again! Here’s how to make a delicious and healthy juice at home using a Vitamix and strainer.

While many people tout the benefits of just plain old celery juice, I much prefer to add to it and that’s usually lemon juice, cucumber, apple and even some fresh ginger if I have some on hand. You can add whatever you have or want to this, too!

I recommend serving this fresh over ice but I’ve also been known to have it in the evening with a shot of mezcal so truly: whatever floats your boat!

But before we get to it, let’s address the elephant in the room. Over the past few years, plain old celery was rebranded as super healing celery juice and people have not stopped talking about it since. But does it really work? Does it really deliver the incredible results people say it does?

Firstly, don’t ever think that any one thing (especially a food or food product) will change your life. And if your hopes were up, I hate to be the bearer of bad news: this drink will more than likely not change your life. But that doesn’t mean it’s not worth drinking and or experimenting with.

If you’re interested in reading about the benefits of celery juice, by all means. But I recommend simply trying the recipe below, which remarkably doesn’t require a blender and makes the process just a bit simpler, less expensive and presents a much less laborious clean up.

Why You’ll Love It

Cucumber and Celery are low in calories and high in fiber, which means they can aid in weight loss and help keep you feeling full for longer periods of time.

The high water content in both cucumber and celery can help to keep you hydrated, which is key during those scorching summer months.

Not only does it taste great, but it also helps to detoxify the body, promote healthy digestion, and keep you hydrated.
